And, still do.

These photos are a random selection of some Sweetwater
Forest sites, as taken from the road. We ask that all who
camp with us respect the peace and privacy of all others.
Griffith's Pond is perfect for Nature Watching, Canoeing (you can rent canoes from us) &
Catch and Release Fishing from our Dock, rowboats, or canoes.
Our sites are naturally
wooded, providing an
element peaceful
privacy which
encourages relaxation!
Our 4 Comfort Stations offer flush toilets, Free private un-metered hot showers
and plenty of counter space, electric plugs, and mirrors for hair drying &
shaving.  Sweetwater's Comfort Stations are routinely thoroughly cleaned twice
daily-in the morning and again later in the evening. They are checked by Staff
throughout the day- and during the night.
The photos above were taken at the end of the summer-prior to being
cleaned and thanks to careful cleaning by our Staff and help from our patrons
who report those caught not respecting their fellow campers by purposefully
trashing the restrooms.
For the convenience of our campers, each of our Comfort Stations offer flush toilets, FREE private hot showers without meters, and plenty of counter space
for hair drying & shaving.  Stations are checked throughout the day and thoroughly cleaned twice daily, in the morning, and again later in the evening.
Scouts, Camping & RVing Club Rallies and Family Reunions are welcome at Sweetwater
Forest, subject to review by management, and agreement from all approved groups,
noise at night.  Our secluded group sites are perfectly suited for larger families, & clubs
with most situated away from other campsites and with plenty of natural privacy
screening between all. All Rally Groups must adhere to Camp Rules, including those
requiring no noise after 9 PM.
Rally & Reunion Requests
Your patience is appreciated as the many photos & links load.
More secluded than most sites, our larger group sites, most with electric and water hookups
on them, share extra long driveways, which help keep any noise from bothering other
campers.  Most sites for group feature camp sites set in semi-circles, to best accommodates
family camping reunions & other off-season Club Rallies.  Allowing all to enjoy a quiet, Scouts
& Families, which is located in A-Area, with a long driveway to the sites, well road that runs
above site shown.
Tent Campers to Big Rig RVers are offered a wide range of modern amenities,
conveniences, services and recreational facilities from which to choose at Sweetwater
Forest.  Wherever possible, areas of high traffic, including our Main Office Complex,
Camp Store, Miniature Golf, most other recreational Facilities and the Dog Day Kennel
are situated well away from our camp sites to better insure  pleasant days, peaceful
nights and overall enjoyable camping experiences for all who camp with us.
RALLY GROUPS, SCOUTS & FAMILY REUNIONS
To help your camping trip be hassle free, we provide clean restroom facilities with free hot showers. For the convenience of our Campers Sweetwater
Forest has 4 separate Comfort Stations. All are clean, recently renovated and conveniently located in each of our transient Camping Areas.
Our Staff will politely assist you with Bookings, Camp Tours, Check-Ins & Camp
Orientation. For your convenience our Grocery & General Store is located behind
the Main Office as is our 18 Hole Mini Golf Course.
The photo to the
right shows our
lake off in the
background, which
these sites in
A-Area, with
Electric & Water,
overlook with a hill
top view.
The lake is offers a
beautiful and
relaxation view.
A limited number of double & group sites are available for families & friends with
campers & RVs who enjoy camping together. Most of our Double and Group Sites feature
individual sites with their own hookups, set next to each other, or in semi-circle.
These aerial photos show much of Sweetwater Forest, in the darker oval in the smaller photo to the left. The
larger photo above, labeled with features at Sweetwater Forest, with Sheeps & Long Pond, and other features
familiar to the Cape's Camping Enthusiasts also visible. About a third of the campground, (most of C-Area) is
located to the far left and was out of frame in the shot above.
This clearly adds real meaning to "not seeing
Sweetwater Forest through the trees!"

Sweetwater's Main Road, called Whittlesbee Lane on some old maps of Brewster, is visible in places to the right
of the "camper" shown heading into Sweetwater. Our Entrance exits from Rte.124, at 676 Harwich Road, and
then winds its way away from the noise and bustle of Cape Cod's busy road traffic, and into the tranquil,
peaceful woodlands known as Sweetwater Forest. Cape Cod Campers in the know have enjoyed Sweetwater
Forest as their vacation destination on the Cape since 1958-whether for the weekend-or the season.
Sweetwater's lake shore on Griffith's Pond is shown on the bottom right of the oval, beneath our "retired"
cranberry bog-the lighter green area-which is a wonderful habitat for a variety of native wildlife.  Lily pads and
a variety of amphibians share some of the shore to the right of the oval.  Also visible is Sweetwater Farms,
Appaloosa horse breeding farm and the Home & Birthplace of Multiple World & National Champions.

Brewster's 9 beautiful Public Town Beaches, all well maintained by the Town of Brewster, consist of 7 diverse
beaches along the gentle shores of Cape Cod Bay with two additional Brewster Town beaches located on
beautiful freshwater Lakes- Sheeps Pond & Long Pond, each with Sandy Beaches, clean water and Boat Ramps,
located not quite 0.25 mile from Sweetwater Forest. Bike Trail access to both beaches is a beautiful ride!  On
the upper left of the photo is Sheeps Pond, well stocked for fishing (3HP Limit on Boat Motors) with crystal
water, and easily accessed by the Rail Trail, only a 10th of a mile from Sweetwater. Long Pond, shown at the
top is a water lover's paradise. Extending two towns, there is no limit on boat HP, making it a water skiing,
tubing, swimming, and fishing paradise. Brewster's Public Beach at Long Pond features a roped off swimming
area, with a Life Guard on duty during the summer days. Long Pond is also easily accessible via the Cape Cod
Rail Trail, and is about 2/10th of a mile from Sweetwater Forest. In Brewster one beach sticker is good for all 9
beaches.

We believe Brewster is the Heart of Cape Cod in ways that go beyond its central Cape Cod location.
Experience Brewster on Cape Cod and let our beautiful Town help you decide for yourself!
After leaving Rte 124, at 676 Harwich Road, (shown to the
left) and turning into Sweetwater's Entrance, our Main Road,
(shown below) takes you away from the noise and busy bustle
of Cape Cod, into a seemingly timeless, peaceful atmosphere
of nature, imparting an almost immediate feeling of soothing,
calm relaxation.

The beauty of the Native Cape Cod woodlands, desired by
Campers & RVers, is evident in all directions, as the Main
Road winds its way to Sweetwater's Forest's Office, beneath
an overhead canopy of rustling oak, maple and bunches of
pine, providing an abundance of soothing shade-which is
especially appreciated after a sunny day of adventures in
Brewster and Cape Cod. Although bikers use the Main Road,
Sweetwater's Bike Path takes bikers and hikers from C-Area
through the woods, to the Camp Gates & Harwich Rd, where
the paved Bike Trail can be accessed.
What can you expect during your stay at Sweetwater Forest?
Sweetwater Forest is a peaceful, family oriented Cape Cod Campground, with full services and sites for Tents to RVs. The various sites are artfully spread over 80+ beautiful woodland acres, with frontage on
Griffiths Pond. Situated about a mile from the inside elbow of Cape Cod Bay, Sweetwater Forest's central Cape Cod location is in the recreational oriented lakes area in our home-town of Brewster,
Massachusetts. This classic bay-side Cape Cod town is considered by many to be the Heart of Cape Cod, as well as a tourist's dream destination.  Brewster offers 9 diverse public beaches, with 7 along the
shores of Cape Cod Bay, and two others located on clean, freshwater lakes. Both Sheeps & Long Pond and their Brewster Town Beaches, are just minutes by bike from Sweetwater Forest, via the renowned
Cape Cod Rail Trail. Sweetwater Forest's Bike Trail offers bikers and hikers an alternative to riding on our Main Road, during the short ride to miles of the ever popular, paved and well maintained Cape Cod Rail
Trail-just one of the many fantastic activities in Brewster to be enjoyed by visitors to Cape Cod of all ages. We cordially welcome you and your family to Sweetwater Forest, where you can experience Cape
Cod from April 1 until November 1. With our central Cape Cod location Sweetwater Forest provides the perfect home-base from which to tour all that Brewster, and the Cape & Islands have to offer-whether
staying for the weekend-or the Season.

Sweetwater Forest provides 250 level, naturally wooded, amply sized sites for tents to RVs, with fire-pits and picnic tables, artfully spread over 80+ acres of beautifully diverse Cape Cod terrain and native
woodlands with lake frontage on Griffiths Pond.  Camping & RVing at Sweetwater Forest is also enhanced and complimented by a well rounded roster of amenities, services, conveniences and recreational
facilities, available on-site and in-camp. The site to acre ratio at Sweetwater is remarkable, allowing for plenty of natural privacy screening between sites. Sweetwater Forest's B-Area, an Exclusive Tenting
Area and the Seasonal Camping Community are situated away from transient Camping & RV Areas, allowing all in camp to relax comfortably in areas suited for their preferred type of Camping & RVing.

Established by our family in 1958-Sweetwater has been owned and operated by us ever since. Currently, three & four generations of our family make their homes and work at Sweetwater Forest-year 'round,
as we continue striving to make our best even better.  As we maintain the campground, we are diligent about being sure the in-camp recreation, conveniences, services, amenities and activities are current,
or ahead of the curve.  Also provided are some amenities and activities especially suited for something today's camping families can do together, from a few rounds of golf at the even tougher, recently
renovated Sweetwater Pines 18 Hole Miniature Golf Course, use of our WiFi hot spots, and indoor WiFi Cafés & Patio Areas with umbrellas, tables and seating, Canoe Rentals on the lake, and our long time
favorite-Free Saturday Night Hayrides with old fashioned freshly popped popcorn!  The Dog Day-Kennel is located well away from camp sites, under shady willows on the Farm. Pets are welcome, and the Day
Kennel offers a safe haven for your pet, while you and your family are out touring the Cape.   Our mission at Sweetwater Forest is to see that your camping vacation is all and more that you hope for it to
be-for every member of your family-including your pets!  During the off-season we also access and concentrate on maintaining the grounds, by planting new trees and shrubs and being sure to maintain the
delicately balanced harmony with the peaceful, naturally wooded environment that makes Sweetwater Forest able to be enjoyed by so many.

We believe the quiet beauty of the Cape's surrounding woodlands contribute considerably to why camping at Sweetwater Forest is especially enjoyable.  Sweetwater Forest is unique in that it continues to
help foster great family memories of vacationing in Brewster, on Cape Cod-just as it has for over than the last 60 years.  These memories often evolve into wonderful Family Camping traditions, and continue
year after year, from generation to generation.  Come, enjoy Camping among a slice of Cape Cod's natural beauty, beneath the whispering pines and rustling oaks of the peaceful native woodlands and nearby
wetlands that is Sweetwater Forest.
